PUBLISHING AND DESIGN FOR NATURE AND PEOPLES OF THE EARTH
Editorial para la naturaleza y los pueblos de la tierra
PANGAEA celebrates its eighteenth year as an independent, international publisher in 2008. Our books and other publications are crafted to reach outside the mainstream for those who are exploring diverse regions of nature, paths of human understanding and world cultures in transition. Subjects range from Patagonia to the Yucatan and Cuba in our Natural series. Works on human awareness include explorations in poetry and prose. From Kenya's indigenous peoples and Sudanese refugees in Turkana to the street children of Guatemala, PANGAEA is devoted to taking on important issues of our times. Toward that end, we have also developed extensive resource materials throughout this site. Welcome.
NEWS RELEASE: PANGAEA is honored to be the publisher for 3 of the 23 titles selected for the 2008

The Earth appeared differently 225 million years ago. All continental landmasses were joined into one supercontinent, later named Pangaea, surrounded by the Panthalassa Sea, a universal ocean. Named from the Greek, pan means "all" and gaea "Earth."
The concept that we were all one once is a powerful link to international understanding. To touch upon our common spirit and heritage, the PANGAEA Web site is offered as a meeting place for those with an interest in the Earth's nature and her peoples. It has been developed to share information gathered from a personal odyssey around the world, as well as new works from PANGAEA publishing.
