NANCY LEIGH TIERNEY

Nancy Leigh Tierney has lived and worked extensively in Guatemala. As a Peace Corps volunteer she worked directly with the country's youth, developing recreational and health programs for them. In 1993-97, she conducted research and fieldwork for ROBBED OF HUMANITY, including interviews with street youth in Guatemala City. With a BA in Political Science and Spanish (Phi Beta Kappa/ Sigma Delta Pi), Wellesley College, and a Master of Regional Planning, Cornell University, Tierney has most recently been doing advocacy work with Boston�s homeless population.
